Think & Tinker Bundle: Little Hands, Big Thinking

If you’ve ever watched your child fully absorbed in figuring something out—stacking, sorting, testing, trying again- you’ve seen the magic of real learning in action. That’s exactly what we had in mind when we created our Think & Tinker Bundle: simple, hands-on activities that invite curiosity, build confidence, and grow those “I did it!” moments.

This bundle is all about giving your child the tools to explore, problem-solve, and play with purpose- whether you’re at the kitchen table, out to dinner, or on the go.

What’s Inside + How We Use It

    Balancing Blocks
These aren’t your average blocks- there’s a little challenge built in, which means a lot of learning.

    How we use it:
Start by encouraging your child to stack freely. Then add simple prompts:

    • “Can you balance one on top without it falling?”
    • “What happens if we turn it this way?”
    • “Let’s build something tall… now can we make it even taller?”

    Emerging Skills:

    • Fine Motor: steady hands, controlled placement
    • Executive Function: planning, problem-solving, persistence
    • Social-Emotional: patience and resilience when things topple (because they will!)

    Fruit & Veggie Puzzle
A playful way to connect pieces while building vocabulary and early categorization skills.

    How we use it:

    • Name each fruit or veggie together (“That’s a carrot! Crunch crunch!”)
    • Sort by color or type (“Can you find all the green ones?”)
    • Pretend play- “Let’s make a salad! What should we add?”

    Emerging Skills:

    • Pre-Academic: vocabulary, early categorization
    • Fine Motor: grasping and placing pieces
    • Language Development: labeling, describing, connecting to real life

Letter Cards + Dry Erase Marker
These are a go-to for introducing letters in a low-pressure, playful way.

    How we use it:

    • Trace the letter together, then try it independently
    • Practice sounds: “That’s a B! Buh like banana!”
    • Turn it into a game- “Can you find something nearby that starts with this letter?”

    Emerging Skills:

    • Pre-Academic: letter recognition, early phonics
    • Fine Motor: pencil grip, controlled tracing
    • Confidence Building: repetition without pressure (erase + try again!)

    Wax Sticks + Shape cards
A hands-on way to bring shapes to life- perfect for little learners who love to create.

    How we use it:

    • Form shapes with the wax sticks
    • That’s a circle…”a circle is round! What else is round?”

    Emerging Skills:

    • Pre-Academic: shape recognition correspondence
    • Fine Motor: pinching, shaping, placing
    • Creativity: open-ended building and design

    Why We Love It

This bundle meets your child right where they are—with activities that feel like play but are packed with meaningful learning. There’s no “right way” to use it, which means your child can explore freely, make mistakes, and try again (our favorite kind of learning).

It’s the kind of quiet, focused play that builds independence… the kind you’ll reach for when you need a moment at a restaurant, during travel, or even just while dinner is cooking.

    A Little Reminder

At this age, learning doesn’t come from worksheets or pressure- it comes from hands-on exploration, repetition, and connection. When your child is tinkering, testing, and trying again, they’re building the foundation for everything that comes next.

And the best part? You get to watch it all unfold.
