Warehouse Sale: We Made Too Much!

Our Spring Cleaning Activities:

Panda Face Game

Who doesn't love cute pandas? We adore this game and with so many pieces there are endless ways to put faces together (can you tell that we really love activities that feel endless?). Helping your kiddo to identify emotions can be a wonderful opportunity to develop important social skills. Once your child identifies the emotion ask them about a time when they felt happy, sad or mad. We appreciate them all and love to talk through it. A fun family activity that always makes us laugh? Create a panda face and then have everyone make their own facial expression match!

Emerging Skills Focus:

Fine motor skills will be used to place the squares inside the face. Your kiddos will exercise their social and emotional skills when talking through emotions and sharing stories behind times when they experienced each emotion.

Colorful Logic Puzzle

One of our most entertaining games yet! We love this logic puzzle because it utilizes many different emerging skills.

 Emerging Skills Focus:

Using pincer grasp to pick up the sticks and circles will activate those fine motor skills, especially if they are trying to balance the sticks on top of one another.

For our younger friends: Identifying colors expressively and receptively is a fun way to play together. Sorting the sticks and circles into two different piles and working on patterns will help hone their problem solving skills.

For our older friends: Matching and solving patterns to corresponding cards will work on their divergent thinking skills.

Colorful House Puzzle

Our delightful puzzle is crafted from soft magnets—super easy for little hands to handle and place on any magnetic surface! The pieces of fun fit into a corresponding color “house” but can be switched around for a fun conversation about everyday objects (apple, glove, necklace, etc.) In bright, cheerful colors, they also correspond to a letter of the alphabet (e.g., B for Banana). The vibrant red apple, purple grape, green watermelon, and more will help kids excitingly identify and name colors. Expand the adventure by asking questions like, “What other things are red?” or “Can you think of another word that starts with A?” Each puzzle piece reinforces letter recognition, encouraging early literacy in a hands-on, interactive way. Completing the puzzle encourages your kiddo's perseverance and attention to detail, while colorful and tactile design inspires kids to engage with the puzzle in playful and imaginative ways. Your learners will love successfully matching pieces. This also builds a sense of achievement and self-esteem. We love this lightweight, flexible material that makes it easy to grip for your kiddo and is durable enough to last through countless play sessions.

Emerging Skills Focus:

  • Color Recognition
  • Letter Association
  • Patience and Focus
  • Confidence
  • Creative expression

ABC & Number Puzzle Pieces

**Please note there might not be a full complete set of ABCs or numbers. This is mostly meant for building 3D shapes.

This is truly the most requested game in our house. It's colorful, creative and offers endless ways to entertain.

Emerging Skills Focus:

Your kiddo will use their fine motor skills to snap the puzzle pieces together in place.  Expressive and receptive language skills are both targeted while identifying letters and colors. Working on phonics will be oh-so-fun by having your learner pick a letter and make the corresponding sound!

Another fun way we like to use this puzzle is by asking your kiddo to put the alphabet together in order while singing the song (educational and amusing for you!).

Age Tip:

For our older friends, identifying vowels and starting to spell 3 (or more!) letter sight words will add to the variety of this game.
