What's Coming This Summer?

Pouch 1: Fruit and Veggie Puzzle

Fruit and Veggie puzzle, anyone? This one’s a favorite! It’s a fun and meaningful way to introduce different foods while building early academic and social-emotional skills.

Emerging Skills Focus: [PS- what do we mean by emerging skills? Check out the education behind our company here!]

  • Matching and sorting
  • Fine motor coordination
  • Conversation and social connection
  • Word and letter recognition

Why we love it:
It’s such a natural conversation starter! We love using it to talk about favorite snacks and how food fuels our bodies. It also creates opportunities for kids to express their preferences and explore vocabulary in a fun and playful setting. Have your child match the fruit and veggie pieces, then sort them by color or type (fruit vs. vegetable). You can even group them by “likes” and “dislikes”—and you might be surprised when your kiddo says they do like broccoli! Flip the pieces to identify the letters or words on the back, and turn it into pretend play—“Let’s make a fruit salad! What should we add?”

Pouch 2: Colorful Wooden Blocks

Our colorful wooden blocks offer endless opportunities for creativity and discovery. These open-ended tools help develop a wide range of skills through stacking, sorting, and imaginative building.

Blocks are a timeless toy, and for good reason. They meet your kiddo where they are developmentally, whether they’re stacking for the first time or designing elaborate structures. They invite curiosity and help children develop persistence, patience, and pride in their creations. Challenge your child to build the tallest tower or sort the blocks by shape and size. Ask questions like, “Can you find a block with four sides?” or “Can you build a bridge using only the small pieces?” We also love to use them for pretend play—castles, garages, even bug homes!

Emerging Skills Focus:

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Fine motor strength and control
  • Spatial reasoning and shape awareness
  • Social play and communication

Pouch 3: Reusable Number Cards

These reusable cards are a fun and mess-free way to build number recognition and early writing skills. Each card features bold, easy-to-trace numbers and guiding arrows to help your child learn correct number formation.

Why we love it:
These cards grow with your child. Younger kiddos can use their finger or the included pen to follow the number paths, while older children can begin practicing correct number formation. We love how they promote independence—kids can trace, wipe, and try again at their own pace. They’re also great for building early math confidence in a low-pressure, playful way. Start by naming each number together, then guide your child through tracing with the arrows. Try counting objects that match each number. “Can you trace the number 4 and count 4 objects?” These are perfect for on-the-go learning in restaurants, waiting rooms, and travel!

Emerging Skills Focus:

  • Pre-writing and handwriting skills
  • Pre-academic skills: number recognition and sequencing
  • Focus and fine motor control
  • Reusable for repeated practice

Loose Creative: Wooden Ice Cream Cones, Pencils and Stickers

A sweet treat of creativity! Your kiddos will love decorating their own wooden ice cream cones and popsicles using colored pencils and then bringing the scene to life with their very own sticker ice cream truck.

Why we love it:

This activity invites open-ended creativity while quietly building foundational skills like hand strength, pincer grasp, and sequencing. Plus, kids take great pride in their creations—especially when they get to “serve” their custom treats they’ve decorated themselves! Encourage your kiddo to color each ice cream and popsicle with patterns, sprinkles, or “flavors” they invent. Talk through their choices—“What flavor is the green one? Who would love that one?” They’ll love to decorate their sticker ice cream truck and create a pretend menu or story about who’s visiting their truck today. Everything will look so delicious, you might ask, “Can I place an order?”

Emerging Skills Focus:

  • Creative expression and design
  • Fine motor control and pencil grip
  • Planning and decision-making
  • Language and storytelling development
